Book no.1

Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone, by JK Rowling

Who has not loved the magic of the Northern tales, – which I am crazy to tell, by the way… – which have influenced the author of these phenomenon books, which even today still fascinate me?

How to Train Your Dragon, by Cressida Cowell

A book that grips you with its impressive action, combined with the development of allegorical themes about cross-cultural relations and acceptance of diversity - like my book, "Ice wonder", one thing…

A night at the museum, by Milan Trenc

With a light-hearted mood, and a simple plot full of surprises and subtext, this fun family fantasy adventure, based on the Croatian author's picture book of the same name, is aimed primarily at children, but trust me, it will captivate you adults too...

Paddington, by Michael Bond

A book dealing with the ever-present issue of immigration. With the family at the center and its protagonists going through small and big tests... of life.

Hugo, by Brian Selznick

The story highlights, elaborately, it is truth, manner, kindness, altruism, curiosity, imagination and creativity, as the most important resources in the pursuit of happiness - happiness where are you? I'm still looking for you... - and reminds us that everyone and everything has a purpose. Are you talking about me?

Dumbo, by Helen Durney

A book that raises animal consciousness – Charlie, my dog, can assure you of that..   It motivates us against the exploitation of animals for entertainment purposes – please... no more…

The Polar Express, by Chris Van Allsburg

Through warm and direct messages about responsibility, courage, friendship, courage, knowledge and modesty, the story focuses on the human values represented by the holidays - which I love so much, although they pass quickly... - without proceeding to religious references.

Overall, faith in the symbolic character of St. Basil is emphasized and encouraged. Although the epilogue offers material proof of its existence - I don't think you are one of the few who do not believe in its existence - because we will disagree, horizontally and vertically...

Shrek, by William Steig

This particular comic fantasy adventure is fun, well-crafted and undeniably original in its approach to fairy tales. Despite the fact that it cannot be described as a classic, it is mainly due to its obsession with mainstream pop culture. - We, however, declare to be her fans but don't say it out of hand...

At the same time, the film also works as a satire of the cinematic world of fairy tales and challenges stereotypes about heroes, monsters and princesses - a few words about princesses, please..- To the sounds of old and modern pop songs.

Mary Poppins, by Pamela Lyndon Travers

The heroine of the story believes that the key to happiness lies in enjoying small, simple and everyday things and adding fun elements to daily activities, while at the same time emphasizing the importance of work and dignity. - Jobs for everyone, please, to get our political message across...

She transforms every monotonous task and every ordinary children's outing into an exciting adventure full of song and dance and becomes a role model for the two inadequate parents! – We should not say big words about others, of course, because we are also parents...

The Melody of Happiness, by Howard Lindsay and Russel Crouse

Story with many valuable messages about love, family, warmth, intimacy and play that are necessary for children to grow up. - If only these were necessary, it would be nice...

The film, of course, still enchants us with its classic masterpieces, such as "The Sound of Music", "Do-Re-Mi" and "supercalifragilisticexpialidocious", which take us back to another era. - I wish they would return us so easily and in reality...
