The Amphimirror by Sofianna Paidousi
Marilia Makri
We met the author Sofianna Paidousi in her personal space in Corfu. Fairytale luxury apartment is a place made with love. With the same love, Sofianna has already created two wonderful fairy tales and is currently preparing two more!
"Ice Wonder" is her first book and "The Amphimirror" the second, which caught our attention for its subject but also for the great work in writing, illustration and the additional contribution of psychologists and nutritionists.
Tell us a few words about the book.

Sofianna Paidousi
Is a two-way mirror enough to make a little girl understand? To believe in the magic hidden inside her and become what she always wanted? Is our image something we can easily change if we want to? What is Sofianna Paidousi's opinion on all this? We will find out through the following interview where she talks to us about her book entitled "The Amphi-mirror" which is published by Hydroplano publications.
How about we go meet her?

Sofianna Paidousi:
"We may actually be made of the same stuff, but no one is the same and it is necessary to accept them
as they are."
By Despina Tascioglou

Ice Wonder, a boy made entirely of ice cream, has recently moved with his parents from the North Pole to a new country in the South, to a new home, to a new life. Will his new classmates accept him or will they make life difficult for him at school?
In the fairy-tale book for children and adults, published by Ocelotos publications, Sofianna Paidousi touches on a major problem of our modern times that torments many parents, teachers and especially students in the small society of the school: school bullying. The young writer and mother, after welcoming young and old at the 48th Book Festival in Zappeion, which took place in September, talks to mikrofwno about her first literary "child". At the same time, it is also the most comprehensive package on school bullying in Greece, as a multitude of experts have worked on this book, which is food for thought for children, parents, and teachers.

Interview on Filanagnostis
In the context of a complex view of literature, our page also hosts books that belong to Children's and Youth literature. We recently presented in our Children's - Youth literature column the book "ICE WONDER" by Sofianna Paidousi. A book dealing with the emotional world of bullied children. The book does not just address the problem but aims to help children to recognize and manage their emotions, but mainly to understand that they should speak up if and when something similar happens in their own life or the life of someone of their age. In our presentation, we focused on the rich, well-written and above all well-crafted text, on the writing of Ms. Paidousi, on the plot and the flow of the work and in general on the fiction as a whole. But mainly we focused on everything that is included in this book as a whole, as it is obvious that this book has been created with much care and even more love.
We asked the author for an interview which she immediately and with great willingness gave us and it is the first interview related to a children's book and today we present it to you. We are sure you will enjoy it.

How did you come up with the idea?
A few years ago, a tragic bullying incident shook Greece and affected me, consciously or unconsciously, to a great extent. It's been in the back of my mind for years, but like many other incidents that happen, it's been slow to surface in literary, at least, form.
